Webinar | The Copernicus Programme and its applications for environmental and infrastructure monitoring in the Gulf region

The Copernicus Programme and its applications for environmental and infrastructure monitoring in the Gulf region

28 March 2023, Online

10:00 – 11:30 (GMT+3), 11:00 – 12:30 (GMT+4), 09:00 – 10:30 (CEST)

After the successful workshops on the benefits of Galileo and EGNOS in the Gulf region organised last year, the EU Global Action on Space is launching an online day dedicated to the European Union's Earth Observation Programme Copernicus and its applications.

Local experts and policy officers from the European Commission will discuss how EO data could support environmental and infrastructure monitoring in the Gulf region.

Copernicus provides critical information to monitor massive construction projects like port development and energy and transportation infrastructure. In addition, EO data help protect and monitor our environment through oil spill detection, crop surveillance and natural land and water areas protection.

The webinar will also present the advantages that come from joining the Copernicus Relays and Academy networks, which include access to unique training, data and financial opportunities.
